Hetchins Magnum Bonum

1960 Hetchins Magnum Bonum on display at Mock Orange Bikes.

Hyman Hetchin opened a music shop in Tottenham, North London in 1922. At some point he started selling bicycles. He later partnered with frame builder Jack Denny and Hetchins Bicycles began in 1935. Hetchins bicycles are some of the best and most ornate bicycles ever produced.

The Hetchins Magnum Bonum model was produced from 1951 till 1969. 
First generation Campagnolo Record rear derailleur.

Mafac Jural Forge Brakes and beautiful fenders.

Unbelievable detail of this seat cluster.

Hand carved lugs and tanges on the fork crown. Both are outlined by a painted gold pinstripe.

Campagnolo Record Highflange hubs with the cutouts painted red.

The quality of the materials and workmanship are amazing on this bike. The headtube section is the most ornate place on this bike.

Gunnar Crosshairs going together at Mock Orange Bikes!

 A SIR Club Member is putting together a new Gunnar Crosshairs. This bike is going to be built for all types of riding. The frameset has canti-lever brakes, room for 23mm to 42mm width tires, and has mounts for both racks and fenders.
